How to get there

The Northumberland County Show is held at Bywell near Stocksfield just off the A69, A695 and A68 main trunk roads, approximately 15 miles west of Newcastle and 7 miles east of Hexham.

On Show Day we have a Traffic Management Plan in place with road closures to enable quick entry and exit to and from the showground.  The show will be signposted from ALL directions on the A69, A68 AND A695 by YELLOW road signs.  Just follow the blue ‘P’ for public parking.  Disabled badge holders follow the blue badge signs.

Those travelling from the East (Newcastle) on the A69 will access the show from the B6309 at the Mowden Hall junction. This will be directed into parking on both sides of the B6309.

Those travelling from the West (Hexham) will follow the YELLOW road signs via the Styford / High Barns Road from the A69 Styford Roundabout, 5th exit, directed to Corbridge on the B6530 and take the first left to Styford.

Car parking

The show ground has over 10,000 FREE car parking spaces.

All Public Car Parks are clearly sign posted from the roads approaching the show field and you will be shown how to get to them by the stewards on the day.

All car parking spaces are within up to 10 minutes walk (800 metres) to one of the two show ground public entrances.

Please note: all parking spaces are in a field and suitable footwear should be worn as the ground may still be damp underfoot, even on sunny days. The fields are classed as ‘fair to good’ terrain, with a slight gradient sloping downwards towards the main show ground and will become uneven at times. The ground may become slippery if it has rained the night before and care is to be taken if this is the case.

Disabled Parking

We have ample parking spaces for Disabled blue badge holders held within the Members car park enabling you to park as near to the entrance as possible. Blue badge holders will be directed by stewards to their parking area, access to this area is available from all routes.
