Kerry Robson
Show Secretary & Show Organiser
Kerry joined the show in 2016 after a career as a Farm Manager, Rural Development Officer, Finance Manager and various other agricultural & Conservation based positions within Durham Rural Community Council, Red Squirrel Survival Trust, Defra and English Nature.
Having worked on farms all her life, she has a keen interest in farming and agriculture. Kerry has a good understanding of the practices and procedures needed to understand the farming communities involved with the show.
Kerry has organised many charity events over the years specifically for Brain Tumour Research following a family berevement. Kerry’s skills have been very useful in her role as main organiser.
Kerry organises the whole show with the support from Ellie, her Management Team & Show Committee. She oversees all of the day to day running of the show including the co-ordination of all Livestock sections, Trade Stands, Entertainment & Attractions, Accounts, Customer Service and all other elements of the show. She is the main contact for Sponsorship Opportunities & Trade Stand Bookings. She also co-ordinates all of the Show Suppliers and ensures a safe and enjoyable show day for all visitors!
Ellie Robson
Deputy Show Secretary & Social Media Manager
Ellie joined the show team in September 2023 on a Customer Service apprenticeship from Kirkley Hall College, following the completion of her A levels. In 2024, Ellie was employed as our Assistant Show Secretary.
Ellie was nominated for the first ever ‘Rising Star Award’ in the North East of England Tourism Awards 2024. We were delighted when she was awarded the Gold Award.
Ellie’s main passion is livestock, having her own small flock of sheep, Poultry, Guinea Pigs and various other animals at home. Her main interest is in animal husbandry and agriculture.
Ellie is the primary contact for our Membership, Ticketing & the Children’s Art Competition. She supports Kerry in the show office and the rest of the show team in the run up to show time. Ellie is never still and will constantly be keeping busy all year round with new ideas for the show!
She is our Social Media manager and will be keeping everyone updated on Facebook, Instagram & TikTok – keep a look out for Bees in 2027!
Anthony Crozier
Show Ground & Site Manager
Behind every successful agricultural show is a team of people who work tirelessly, often away from the spotlight, to make sure that everything comes together on the day. At Northumberland County Show, one of those people is Anthony Crozier.
Anthony’s association with the Show stretches back many years. Having served on the committee for a considerable period, including time as both President and Chairman, he has developed an unrivalled knowledge of the event, its history and, perhaps most importantly, the people who make it happen.
As a local farmer he understands the needs of the livestock exhibitors, as well as how to improve and maintain the land and buildings the show uses at the Bywell site.
Anthony is responsible for ensuring that the practical side of the Show works as it should. He is also the first point of contact for important elements of the show’s infrastructure, including facilities, groundwork contractors, electrical supplies and other utilities.
Sue Thompson
Marketing & Press Manager
Sue has been working for the show for a number of years and has great experience liaising with press, and writing articles for both the show’s own literature, digital marketing and for other local publications.
She is also a farmer’s daughter and an active committee member of the Northumberland County Show. She is responsible for marketing, the VIP marquee and relations with the Press.
Sue enjoys encouraging young people to learn more about agriculture and food production, that passion for education also lies at the heart of Susan’s work with The Country Trust, a national educational charity dedicated to connecting children from areas of high social and economic disadvantage with the land that sustains us all. Sue has worked for The Country Trust since 2018, combining her fundraising role with coordinating farm visits across Northumberland, North and South Tyneside and County Durham.
Sue is the primary contact for Principal Partners, and is always available to help them get the most from their investment in the show.
Show day you will find Sue in our VIP Marquee beside the Main Arena.

The Northumberland County Show is run by it’s dedicated Committee listed below, who are all volunteers, taking on their sections and roles with a lot of hard work, passion and enthusiasm. On Show Day they muster friends, family and any other willing volunteers to make the show the great success that it is today.
We always welcome new volunteers, so if you’d like to become part of this fantastic team of people (no previous experience necessary) just contact us in the office and we’ll make sure you have a great time working with us.

Bursary Awards
The Society offers bursaries each year to students born or living in Northumberland who wish to go into full time further education to study agricultural. We are now taking applications for the academic year commencing September 2026 / 2027.To apply – please send a written request to the Show Office by 31st August 2026.
Long Service Awards
These awards are nominated by an employer for an employee with more than 30 years’ service. To apply please email: info@northcountyshow.co.uk
