Volunteer of the Year Award 2025

Northumberland County Show was delighted to award Consett Rugby Club Colts the Volunteer Award for 2025. A new award that was started in 2024 to award our helpers and recognise exceptional support, this year we contacted the Rugby Club after meeting some of the team bag packing in a local supermarket. The team became involved and arrived the Sunday before show day, putting up crowd barriers on our main arena and horse rings, helping with stone picking and filling in rabbit holes & all general help around the site. They then returned on the Sunday following the show and helped with clear up, working all day to help the show team. The show made a donation to the team towards their ‘Tour of a Lifetime’ Well Done and we look forward to having the winners back for 2026!
